I am a big music lover. My favorites are Roger Waters, Pink Floyd, Vangelis, Tangerine Dream and more. I love ambient, scores from films, some techno - and lots of stuff from the 80's. Sometimes I post lyrics because they reflect the way I feel. This topic surrounds those feelings.

Why do you love me?
Why do you need me?
Always and forever
We met in a chat room
Where love can fully bloom
Sure the World Wide Web is great
But you, you make me "salvavate"
Yes I love technology
But not as much as you, you see
But I still love technology
Always and forever
Our love is like a flock of doves
Flying up to heav'n above
Always and forever
Always and forever
Yes, your love is truly great
Always and forever
Why do you need me?
Why do you love me?

Time And Time Again Posted: Oct 5, 2006, at 04:35 AM Stored Under Topic: MUSIC -GUID- Posted By: Infymus
I wanted so badly somebody other than me
Staring back at me but you were gone
I wanted to see you walking backwards
And get the sensation of you coming home
I wanted to see you walking away from me
Without the sensation of you leaving me alone
Time and time again
Time and time again
Time and time again
I cant please myself
I wanted the ocean to cover over me
I wanna sink slowly without getting wet
Maybe someday, I wont be so lonely
And Ill walk on water every chance I get
Time and time again
Time and time again
Time and time again
I cant please myself
So when are you coming home, sweet angel?
You leaving me alone? all alone?
Well if Im drowning darling, youll come down this way on your own
I wish I was traveling on a freeway
Beneath this graveyard western sky
Im gonna set fire to this city
And out into the desert were gonna ride
Time and time again
Time and time again
Time and time again
I cant please myself
I cant please myself
I cant please nobody else
Lost Boys Calling Posted: Dec 5, 2006, at 07:00 AM Stored Under Topic: MUSIC -GUID- Posted By: Infymus
Come hold me now
I am not gone
I would not leave you here alone
In this dead calm beneath the waves
I can still hear those lost boys calling
You could not speak
You were afraid
To take the risk of being left again
And so you tipped your hat and waved and then
You turned back up the gangway of that steel tomb again
And in Mott street in July
When I hear those seabirds cry
I hold the child
The child in the man
The clild that we leave behind
The spotlight fades
The boys disband
The final notes lie mute upon the sand
And in the silence of the grave
I can still hear those lost boys calling
We left them there
When they were young
The men were gone until the west was won
And now there's nothing left but time to kill
You never took us fishin' dad and now you never will
And in Mott street in July
When I hear the seabirds cry
I hold the child
The child in the man
The child that we leave behind

A Rare Interview With Vangelis Posted: Apr 9, 2007, at 03:49 AM Stored Under Topic: MUSIC -GUID- Posted By: Infymus
Vangelis rarely gives any interviews. This is the first one I have ever seen. For those of you who are true fans of Vangelis, this is a gem.
Ask The Mountains Posted: Apr 26, 2007, at 04:52 AM Stored Under Topic: MUSIC -GUID- Posted By: Infymus
In 1995, Vangelis created an album called Voices. Vangelis collaborated with Stina Nordenstam, a Swedish songwriter. Her voice is angelic, delicate and beautiful.
I am continually amazed by the work that Vangelis has been able to create over the course of his career. I only have 36 of his possible 89 different compilations. I have a long way to go.
To me, Vangelis is pure genius. His work; genius. I am always in awe to this man who produces, composes and directs music that stirs the heart and the mind.
Stina's voice on the track Ask The Mountains is harmonic, angelic and phonic. She pronounces the words in such a way as to make you stop and listen.
The words to this masterpiece are so moving, I can't help but stop everything I'm doing and just listen to it.
Don't come after
Don't come after
Please don't follow me along
When you read this I'll be gone
Ask the mountains
Springs and fountains
Why couldn't this go on?
Couldn't our happiness go on?
Ask the sun that lightens up the sky
When the night gives in, to tell you why
Ask the mountains
Wild woods, highlands
Ask the green in the woods and the trees
The cold breeze coming in from the sea
You can search YouTube (YouTube Search Vangelis or Stina YouTube Search) for either Vangelis or Stina, however; only this version here uploaded will give you a taste as to what I'm talking about in this particular song. Be aware that the song is actually 7 minutes and 53 seconds long and this one cuts off at 4:38, but you can begin to understand what I'm talking about.
I do not idol many people on this earth as none deserves my devotion nor admiration - be it man or God, however, Vangelis is a man who I would stand before and say, in an MTV kind of way, I'm not worthy.
