Once every few weeks, we have "Dinner Bar". We have chips, saalsaa, cheese dip, pickles, olives, cheese, mini tacos and other hot goodies, all on the counter. Lexi pulls up her chair and we all dig in. It is a fun way to have a family dinner together and everyone gets to eat whatever they want.
Here is Alexis, munching out.

Alexis, Spencer, Momma and Aunt Jenni went to the Draper Days Parade in Draper Utah. These are a little late, but worth it.

Alexis talks all week about dinner bar. "Dinner Bar" is where you cook jalapeno poppers, mozzarella cheese-sticks and other hot treats - cut up broccoli, cauliflower, green peppers, tomatoes and cheese - serve chips with cheese dip, onion dip and other favorite dips - and serve it all on the counter. The kids bring the chairs up and dig in, eating whatever they want. From olives, to pickles, to chips, to broccoli, to chips and cheese and whatever else they love. At the same time we turn the TV on sat radio and listen to our favorite kinds of music and we dance in the kitchen.
My kids absolutely love it. And we do it every Saturday night.
Here is Lexi and Spence enjoying dinner bar - where anything goes. Eat what you want, when you want. No parents telling you how many bites you need. Just eat up, listen to good music, dance in the kitchen and have fun.
I love dinner bar - and so does my family.

A friend of mine at work has this t-shirt he wears. It says, "Why do these kids keep calling me daddy?" Or something to that effect.

Here is Alexis and Spencer standing under Grandpa Tobin's front tree, of which has dropped most of its leaves.
Tomorrow we are cleaning out the garage and getting the snow blower chained (even in a Garage you should lock it up) and ready to go. Less than half a week until Halloween and only TWO MONTHS until Christmas!
